About the event

Lent is a sacred season in the Christian calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts for forty days (not counting Sundays), leading up to Easter. It is a time of reflection, repentance, prayer, and spiritual renewal, as believers prepare their hearts to remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate His resurrection.

The forty days echo Jesus’ forty days in the wilderness—a time of testing, prayer, and deep dependence on God. Because of this, Lent invites us to slow down, examine our lives, and draw closer to God through intentional practices such as prayer, fasting, giving, and study.

Studying during Lent is especially meaningful because it gives the body of Christ a shared journey. As we gather around Scripture, we grow not only individually but together—encouraging one another, deepening our understanding of Christ’s love, and preparing our hearts in unity for the hope and joy of Easter.
