Christmas means more when you participate in Advent. Advent helps believers slow down, reflect, and prepare their hearts to celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas. It’s a season of hope, peace, joy, and love—often symbolized by the four candles on the Advent wreath.

About the event
Advent is the season of preparation and expectation leading up to Christmas in many Christian traditions. The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, meaning “coming” or “arrival.”
It serves two main purposes:
1. Preparing to Celebrate the Birth of Jesus
Advent helps believers slow down, reflect, and prepare their hearts to celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas. It’s a season of hope, peace, joy, and love—often symbolized by the four candles on the Advent wreath.
2. Looking Forward to Christ’s Return
Advent is also a time of anticipation for Christ’s promised second coming, reminding Christians to live with faith, readiness, and hope.
